Why sellers skip it — and what it costs them
- “Price please?” on repeat. Without invoices, every DM renegotiates the price. An invoice fixes the price at order time.
- Disputes with no paper trail. “You said 8,500” / “No, 9,500” — the invoice ends it in one screenshot.
- Looking temporary. A seller who invoices looks like a business; one who doesn't looks like a side-hustle that might vanish. Customers pay faster to the first kind.
The 60-second workflow
- Order lands in DM. Customer confirms item + quantity + delivery town.
- Open ganna.lk on your phone — no app to install, no account needed. Your shop details are already saved from last time.
- Fill item, qty, price. Add the delivery fee as its own line item so it's visible, not bundled.
- WhatsApp it back in the same chat where they ordered. One tap, formatted message, done.
The whole flow happens on your phone, in the same chat as the order.
Seller-specific tips
- Number every order: ORD-001, ORD-002… When a customer asks “where's my parcel?”, you find it instantly.
- Custom or pre-order items: take an advance (50% is normal) and state the balance on the invoice.
- Delivery fee as a line item. “Delivery — Rs. 350” on the invoice beats arguing about it in chat later.
- COD orders: carry a copy (even a screenshot) with the parcel and mark it paid on handover.
